Fairymount Jerky emerged from a simple, yet profound desire to offer a snack that's as nourishing to the body as it is delightful to the palate.
Started by Liam and Louise in the heart of the Northern Rivers’ pristine pastures, a new standard for jerky was born!
We pride ourselves on making a clean, flavour-packed snack, free from preservatives, refined sugars, and artificial additives!
The Birth of Fairymount Jerky
Liam discovered his love for crafting jerky whilst undertaking his butcher’s apprenticeship in his hometown, Kyogle in 2023.
With simple tools he began experimenting, aiming to replicate Traditional South African Biltong. His growing fascination with age-old methods of meat preservation, paired with his flair for bold flavours led him to deliver the delicious Fairymount flavours we have today.
By using just a select few spices and salt, Liam found a way to create a delicious high protein, low fat snack while also completely avoiding the use of chemicals and artificial preservatives.
Building a Foundation on Tradition and Innovation
By combining our past work experience, and our love for bold, authentic flavours, we have built Fairymount Jerky from the ground up.
Focused on making a product that blends tradition with innovation we are striving to revive an age-old tradition overshadowed by the convenience of mass production and cheap ingredients.
That’s why we only source 100% grass-fed Australian beef, from naturally raised animals for a superior finish, paired with real ingredients and all natural flavours.
Sure we’re not the cheapest, but would you want us to be? Each bite tells the story of our dedication to quality, craftsmanship, and supreme flavour.
Growth and Community Engagement
Since establishing in 2023 we have bought our first home, also known as, Fairymount HQ, scaled our production and are thrilled to announce you can find our jerky stocked in over 30 local stores across the Northern Rivers!
You can also find us out and about in the community at local markets and events. With our passion fuelling us we're finding a way to contribute meaningfully, sharing our love for authentic flavours with the world, one jerky strip at a time.
